History

In 1987, Motorola developed the Standards and Guidelines for Communications Sites, which has since been recognized as the R56 industry standard and set of guidelines for installation of communications equipment, infrastructure and facilities at public safety and commercial wireless communications sites.

R56 compliance audits are conducted to provide a one time, on-site evaluation of a communications site to determine whether the site is compliant with the minimum R56 standards.

R56 Compliance audits can help to correct potential grounding which could lead to safety hazards and adversely affect the equipment performance and operations.
